Dr. Thomas Ice and the Radio Discussion

Dr. Thomas Ice and I will discuss these topics in our radio show this weekend, on January 29. All our programs are available on the “Radio Archives” 5-6 days later. Here are some key points to think about:

Nero as the Antichrist

According to some beliefs, Nero was the Antichrist. They argue that the Bible’s mention of the Antichrist is not about a future world leader, but a symbol of Nero and the Roman Empire.

The False Prophet is said to represent the leaders of Israel who turned away from Jesus and instead worshiped the Roman Empire (which persecuted and killed them) Walking Tour Ephesus.

Nero’s persecution was limited to Rome, not the entire world.

Fulfillment of Matthew 24 and Revelation

Some believe that Matthew 24 and the book of Revelation have already been fulfilled. They argue that the destruction of Jerusalem was the Great Tribulation, along with the persecution of Christians.

However, Matthew 24:21 says that the Tribulation will be the worst time in history. How do they explain this?

Many events since 70 AD, like World War II, have been much worse than the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD Types of Preterists Full and Partial.

Rome was the only nation to attack Jerusalem in 70 AD, but the Bible says that all nations will come against it. This did not happen.

Symbolic Interpretations and the Millennium

People who believe this view take everything in the Bible symbolically, including the Millennium (the 1,000-year reign of Christ).

According to them, there is no literal Millennium as Dispensationalists believe. Instead, they claim we are already living in the “Kingdom of Christ”, which started in the days of the early church.

They believe Satan is already bound, but this view is hard to accept because the world is filled with pain, disasters, and governments like Communism and radical Islam that don’t follow God.

Over 50 million Christians have died since 70 AD, and there have been 15,000 wars. This doesn’t look like Christ’s kingdom on Earth. Many feel that Jesus must be weeping over this.

What About Jesus’ Return?

Some people who hold this view believe that Jesus is not coming back. But there are clear scriptures that say otherwise.

For example, Acts 1:11 says: “This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into Heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen Him go.”

This should challenge Full Preterists who believe Jesus came back “in spirit” in 70 AD, and that’s the only return of Christ.

This article explores the Full Preterist view, which argues that many prophecies in the Bible have already been fulfilled. It highlights the key beliefs and the challenges this view faces when it comes to certain biblical teachings about the future and Jesus’ return.
